never used thinner with base it melts the primer/sealer! that makes the solvent raise up and cause cracking and fisheye! some shops use thinner to mix clears wich helps with orange peel but i never use the stuff! chemically its a tad bit more potent than reducer! What happened bro, was that I think i accidently used some paint thinner instead of slow reducer...so..near the end of the last bit of paint, I think it reduced the paint so much..all that was basically left, with the metallics, etc. So that is all that sprayed out. I wasn't able to tell till I sprayed the clear...I'm going to have one more go at it this summer.
I'm happy with it.Looks great!

yeah, I put in just a lil bit of reducer in the clear, I find that helps it to have less orange peel. I ran out of slow reducer and didn't want to drive 30 miles to get some more so I just used some paint thinner I had around. I won't be making that mistake again.never used thinner with base it melts the primer/sealer! that makes the solvent raise up and cause cracking and fisheye! some shops use thinner to mix clears wich helps with orange peel but i never use the stuff! chemically its a tad bit more potent than reducer!
