So I'm getting ready to purchase:

For the cluster:
4 #74
1 #194

For the license plate:
2 #168

I'm ordering from www.superbrightleds.com and I know people have orderd there before. There's alot of selection so I guess I just want to make sure i'm getting the right type. I think I have it down, but it doesn't hurt to verify. For the (3) #168/#194, its:

WLED-x-x LED bulb
12VDC 1-LED Wedge Base Bulb (194/168 type) with 90 or 120 degree Wide Viewing Angle LED
Select LED Color and Viewing Angle
$ 0.79

However, for the #74, I get a choice of:

74-x Wedge Base LED bulb
Small Wedge Base LED bulb (74 type)~ 2 lumen
3/16 inch wide base, 13/16 inch overall length
Flat tipped LED produces wide beam angle
Select LED Color
$ 1.19

OR

74-xHP Wedge Base LED Bulb
High power SMD LED with wide beam angle - 6 lumen
Small Wedge Base LED bulb (74 type) 3/16 inch wide base, 3/4 inch overall length
Select LED Color
$ 2.49

with the differences outlined in bold. They are both wide angle, but one is "high power" (6 lumen vs 2) and I know that sometimes hot spots come from the leds being too bright, but I don't want them too dim either... so?

Personally, I would go with the 6 lumen bulbs. They're also shorter too, which means there is more distance for the LED's light to spread out before hitting the cluster face.

Agreed. I actually just read into it more from their site and the 2 lumen only span 100 degress as compared to the 6 lumen 120 degree span :thumbup:

I'm spending about $18 total (with shipping), hopefully it's worth it.

well, I was planning on putting them in the factory spots and seeing how it came out and then possibly doing what OC did and add in extra bulbs where necessary (he only had to add in one). But at the same time, I might not go to the effort as the si cluster is already amber / red. I just wanted it to be brighter.

Ricer! hehe. The Fuel and Temp guage is dim at dusk but at night it's bright.

Ahh =)

Green has done what I plan to do. I love blue and I think Blue on Black for my interior would look nice. Anyways, what did you change to get the blue at your pedals tho??

and you ordered from the same place?
yeah, I did order from the same place. They have great service...I just wish they lasted longer.

I had all blue ones before too..they were alright but..then I finally started to like amber gauges with red needles.

For the underdash light I put an LED strip connected to a switch. It's actually on both the driver and passenger side(can't see well because it's a camera phone). I got the strip all pre wired and all from advance auto parts for like $20.

Oh and I wanted to get my needles red...I tried the way with the cutting the lense filter thing out on my buddies car and it did ok but I want mine to be brighter red. What If I just cut the blue lense filter thing out and put in red LED's?

BUMP for the nice interior lighting! I might have to try this, but if the bulbs burn out under a year, i really dont need to practice changing them every year.. hmm,:idea: wonder if you can apply some blue window tint over the clear lexan and see how that looks, or would that be too ghetto? anyone try that before?
