HID questions..

I plan on doing a retro soon...

I remember reading about a site that listed most HID Projectors or Projectors and how rare, good the cut off, and the degree of color the HID was.

Does anyone recall such a site?

I can't remember where i got it from.

Thanks for any help.

If you have the money get S2000 projectors. They are the best xenon projector out in the market. But if you want a good setup get E55 projectors. Thats what im going to use for my retrofit.

I'll be watching this now, since I'd like to do it too. I think I saw that site once when I was researching this before, but for some reason I can never get back to cool sites like that. I don't know if it's no longer up, or if I just lost it.

retro is alot of work and the hardest part is making sure they are aimed and installed properly and also look nice in the housing. measuring is key and expect to ruin at least one headlight trying to experiment. s2000 and TL are among the brightest and have the sharpest and most colorful cutoff. there are also some others that work well too, e46 is very bright but the cutoff is blurry and yellow, tsx is not as bright but has good width and color at cutoff, stay away from valeos, they look nice but have piss poor intensity. i have e46 with 50w kit and love it. www.retrofitsource.com has alot of comparison pics and output shots, plus they sell a ton of different shroud and bezels for making it look nice.

meh..only took me about 2 days from start to finish for my retrofit.

Most of that time was just waiting for jb weld and gorilla glue to dry.

i glued the whole projector bowl to the housing lol and used a tube of silicone to hold up the reflector inside with brackets. man those things were heavy when finished.
