well im finally about to install my motor w/ turbo so i have a few questions....

1.on my manual boost controller.....my internal wastegate is set at 5psi......so when i hook up the boost controller do i set the boost controller all the way down or all the way up to begin with....

2. for my coolant lines can i use 5/8" hose? or does it need to be 3/8"?

3. can i just run this line right here to the turbo.....and then from the turbo to the intake??

that's a heater line. i'd suggest against that.

just weld a bung on the water channel on the back of the block. It's the one that comes right off the water pump. You can drain the water to the big plug on the front of your block (the one to the right of the block code).

on the boost controller you need to loosen it all the way if you want it to run less boost

just reroute the lines for the iacv. take one from the block to the turbo, then from the turbo to where the first line originally went, then run the last line from the iacv to the block like it was originally.

do it that way and you will have the right size hose and all.

or you can just not run the coolant line and not worry about how you run them or what size they are.

see^ so i might just do that....that sounds a lot easier....
if you want easiest why run them at all? do you really think that coolant is needed? look at the majority of your performance turbos, they do not run coolant lines.

ball bearing turbos are water and oil cooled

I would T them off so you still get some coolant going to the engine.

I don't have any pictures, especially since i recently took my turbo off, but I T'd off the feed line to one side of the turbo then T'd off the drain to the other side of the turbo. It works great, just looks a little clustered but I'm one for function/form.
