SRS Light / Seat clip

My SRS light is on, i figured it was because the previous owner installed a SI steering wheel. Yesterday i notice that that the clip under the driver seat wasn't plugged in.. then i notice the clip was broken and it was just 2 exposed wires.

I think i read some where that if that clip is disconnected and the ignition is turned on that will also trigger the SRS light.

My question is, do those wires just create a loop once connected?
Can i just put the 2 wires together, tape them and then clear my SRS light?

I honestly am probably just going to cut a clip from a car at the junk yard. Just in case.

I already know how to clear the SRS light, with the MES (Memory Erase Signal) connector.. (I plan on just trying it with a paper clip.

Well this section is for general 6th civic tech.. The only other section this could fall under would be " Interior / Audio / Electronics (7 Viewing)". I think this section is fine. Thanks for the concern

this is in the 6th gen members ride.

But to answer your question, that plug under ur drivers seat is just for the seatbelt idiot light on the dash. Mines been unplugged for 3 years now, and my SRS light isnt on.
