Original Equipment Manufacturer... basically it means it was made either by honda or by a company specifically as a factory part (stanley, denso, nissin to name a couple)

and we know they are oem b/c we seek out oem parts on a daily basis. it is what drives our souls

lol niiiiiiiiiiiiice i feel special ;] but anyways, post up some pics of your cars! parts that i should look into. i hear i could get a intake off ebay for like 20 bucks that'll give me the same performance as a AEM or any fancy kinda intake for $100+ list off some exhausts, nice headlights, tail lights, rims, etc!!! <3 u all btw, this forum has benefited me already =]

youre not going to gain performance from an intake, namebrand or ebay. you have a mild compression 1.6L motor that just doesnt breathe THAT much air to benefit from an intake. an exhaust is the same way, your just making noise with no real performance gains. if you want to spice up your headlights, you can pull them apart and paint the inner housing like a lot of us do, or you can install HIDs. but stay away from the ebay headlights, they tend to leak and fog up and have bad light scatter. keep your stock taillights, or change them to the red/clear taillights that come on 99-00 coupes. dont get wheels bigger than 16". 15" is your best bet, anything bigger will only hurt your performance, and god knows that motor doesnt need that. good name brands are Work, Rays/Volk, Rota, Enkei, Konig.

basically its just piecing all the parts together and putting it together. instead of going out and buying a "kit".

to some everything up quick and easy. keep everything on your car oem. dont buy cheap s**t that you think looks cool. I mean you can if you want, its your car. but we're just trying to help you.
the first thing I would do if i were you, if get suspension first.

For a start, Id go for
-99-00 Si red/white tails
-16" rims
-full clay+polish+wax paint
-tint windows
-1.5" drop
-Intake
-exhaust (if its stick)
-4300HID Kit.


Dont REMOVE the lips unless you are going to get them fixed+repainted. And get some security.

ahh ok cool, thanks. any head lights or exhausts in particular i should look for? whats the smoothest/nicest sounding exhaust i can get? (link if possible) Theres this one girl in my town that has a 94' civic that has a unique kind of exhaust, whenever she cruises by it has a unique howl...its not LOUD, but it purs and sounds like a high compressed fan? if that makes any sense lol. if you know what she might have, post that also! ty!!

nah i HATE the loud shitty sounding exhausts, sends a signal loud and clear to ppl that your cruising in a RICER (hate to say it) but yeah, i wanna get a mellow smooth pr0 sounding exhaust . i was looking into the megan racing drift spec exhaust http://youtube.com/watch?v=axB8SZJb_Ww. and as for the intake, ive been told i can just get like a $20 intake off ebay that'll benefit me the same way as like a $300 AEM intake or some fancy kinda company, that'll deliver the same sound as well....(not sure tho, need 2nd thoughts on that). but yeah, if you have any really nice intakes that arent insanely expensive (over $1,000) or any cheap intakes you can refer to, lemme know!

go with the Apexi WS2! sweet sound. even more when the Vtec hits. for the intake ebay s**t will do the job. but you will get a better sound and a lil bit better performance wise with aem. they go for like less than 200.

the Apexi WS2 sounds pretty nice, i just youtubed it. to be more specific about the exhaust, i'd want an exhaust that sounds really sweet when i punch it, and mellow and not obnoxious when im cruising through town, aka i dont wanna stick out like a sore thumb when i roll by cops sounding like a lawn mower lmao.


by the way 808, what kinda rims are those on your civic? those are very similar to the ones i'd want on my car
