14b turbo question

can i get away with only running oil lines for my 14b turbo (oil and water cooled)?

yes. i would just be sure to get a turbo timer if you dont though.

it's not that much of a pain to tap water lines.. and it's worth it.

would it affect the performance of the turbo at all? its such a pain having to tap water lines....
no effect and its easy to tap for coolant lines. just disconnect one of the hoses going to the iacv and reroute it to the turbo. the run the return line from the turbo to the iacv line that you had removed. and thats it. less than $20 in coolant hoses and you have yourself an oil cooled and watercooled turbo.

ive done it before, but it was a pain, but i was j/w, and id have to get the damn fittings for the turbo too, which i dont have yet, i guess i can get them off ebay....i guess ill just run the water lines too, oh well.

just shut up, you don't NEED to run the water line. You can find fittings anywhere and if you really can't find them then you can tap it and make the fitting FIT.

have you tried a diesel shop for the fittings?
no, i havent really looked around for any yet besides ebay....i was thinking maybe ace hardware or something...

just shut up, you don't NEED to run the water line. You can find fittings anywhere and if you really can't find them then you can tap it and make the fitting FIT.
