Eprom chip positioning/direction

Hey all, first time back on CC for quite some time.. im back in the honda game..

Anyway, in my zif socketed p72, im about to install a phearable.net chip, but before I close it up and put it in the car I need to make sure that the orientation of the chip doesnt matter. I dont think it would.

Anyone?

The dot or arrow on the chip should point toward the ecu plugs.

Thanks!! This particular chip doesnt have an arrow or dots persay, it has to equally spaced and centered dots on it, and then a half-dot or moon shaped dimple on one end. Is it save to assume that this "half-dot" should be pointed towards the harness end?

The dimple/half dot is what I was referring to. It should be on one end of the chip.
