try taking some pics for HDR photos next time you see a sunset. should come out pretty nice. Thanks for the comments guys . Took about 80 pictures last night of that same sunset. And yeah the powerlines suck . That's the only good spot to get a perfectly clear shot of the sunset though. At least that I know of. I gotta start driving around finding spots to take pictures now.
055 series replaced the 30XX seriesI just bought my D40 and a Sunpack tripod (I know..I know. You don't have to tell me. I'm upgrading to a Manfrotto 30xx next week when I get paid).
For the price the Tamron is super sharp!!!! Great combo with the 40D!!!!
new 40D plus my Sigma 24-70 f/2.8 = perfect feeling combo in my hands... should try it with the nifty 50
I need to invest in a better tripod, a flash and was thinking about looking into a Canon 70-200 2.8 IS, and all i see is nice stuff from it. just the price is very steep haha. so i was looking at the Tamron 70-200 2.8 no stabilizer it got a good review in Popphoto mag so i might look into it and the sigma one as well.055 series replaced the 30XX series
I was looking to get a 3021BPRO, but then released they dont make them anymore...
I just ordered a 055XPROB Tripod and 488RC2 head.. I thought about a grip type head but my gear is pretty heavy. The one can hold like 11lbs but still the 488 head is an awesome ball head.

Money is a little tight, so instead of the Canon 24-70 2.8L i plan on getting the Tamron. I would like to replace it with the L some day.
