Ok so I bought a used turbo, the guy said it was a 50 trim turbotronics turbo. When I got it there is no labeling on the turbine, only a small "t" engraving, and on the turbo, where it connects to the manifold, it has a .63 written inside. Isn't that a big f**king turbo, I was thinking a 50 trim was a small turbo that would spool fast....please does anyone know if the .63 is too big of a turbo? I wanted some low end torque, and boost starting in the mid 2,000 rpms

my guess it a t3/t4 with a 50 cold side..

trim doesnt mean its a ceartain "size", trim has to do with your exducer and inducer sizes.
an the .63 on your hot side isnt a huge turbo, but i most likely build boost in the mid 2000's like you want.

people have good luck with the .48/.60 thunderbird turbos.
personally i am a fan of fast spool, i just bought a big 16g dsm turbo, should spool pretty fast

If you want to start boosting in the mid 2000's i would go with this turbo. You will be able to run 14psi with this turbo. 15psi and over the turbo will start to glow a nice red and you lose performace.14b...fast spool, but not for big numbers
What turbo is itya i know the 14b will spool fast, but what Im wondering is will my setup produce boost in the mid 3's??

isnt this considered a ".57" trim? if so thats what i have and it starts spooling at 4 and im at full by like 5
