Hey, this is my first civic so I'm not too sure about what parts to get and all that jazz but here it is.

Can anyone give me some links for some good performance exhaust kits for a 96 civic LX 4 door? My muffler went to **** its completely rotted out and it's about to come off so I figured I might aswell buy a whole exhaust kit. I've been to GReddy and Skunk2 websites but none of them have exhaust kits for the actual LX model, so if anyone could link me to some good ones that would work on my car it'd be great, thanks!

My price range is $100-600

exhausts made for dx, and lx modles are rare. so what alot of people do is buy an exhaust for an ex and also get a test pipe to fill the gap between the downpipe and the exhaust. any exhaust from 92-00 coupe of sedan will fit. just make sue u dont buy one for a hatch.

So out of these can you tell me which ones would be the best and which ones would actually fit? I'm a newb to hondas.

Does Skunk2 make good exhaust systems or would I be better off going with GReddy or another company? Can you give me a couple links to some good ones that'll fit my car?

I can't really find a good website for Honda parts, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What you are going to need is an exhaust for a 92-00 EX coupe/sedan or 99-00 Si and then either a header and catalytic converter for an EX or a test pipe.

I had a GReddy exhaust and recently threw it in the trash because the muffler rotted out.

That's exactly what happened to mine. My muffler is rotted out almost completely but I've welded the crack for a temporary fix, can you please link me to a good exhaust kit + test pipe that will work on my 96 LX for under $600?

in my opinion an exhuast is just gonna make it louder and nothing else, if you want performance, save your $ and swap in something with a few more ponies...

What do you have in mind exactly? I'm not really a car expert, just getting into performance modifications and upgrades, this will basically be my first project car. The only experience I really have is Air intake, and exhaust on my old 95 Eclipse.

both of those will work fine, but again ur gonna have to buy a test pipe or as the other dude said buy a header and get an ex cat on that and everything will bolt up fine.
me personally went to a custom exhaust shop and had them custom make me an exhaust with 2.25 inch piping mandrel bent to a magnaflow muffler. it cost me 280 for it all. and sounds good and not rediculously loud. its got a good deep tone.
heres a few exhausts that i found that are pretty good.

those are a few good ones that are decently priced.

Hmm so if I go to an exhaust shop and have them make me one custom I'll get the same name brand products but wont have to deal with ordering them and getting all the extras basically? I want one that sounds nice with a low deep tone like you described, if I gave them that information would they be able to get me what I want?

pretty much. alot of time exhaust shops sell certain products. so if u want them to do u a custom exhaust they could bend all the pipe and weld it, and if they dont have the company of the muffler u want u could buy that brand universal muffler and have them throw that on for u. i really like my magnaflow. its real deep when i get on it and not loud at all at idle.
