If it's anything like the D50's...
On manual, use the little circular dial thing on the right.
Left = slower shutter speed, right = faster shutter speed
Hold the +/- button on the top and use dial to adjust aperature.

you have a programmable function button on the left side just behind the lens mount. i programmed it to do ISO. i tell you this because in manual mode in night shots, make sure you lower your ISO to like 100-200

Only sort of good shot I got the other night. How do I compensate for those freaking light reflections? Like the two big circles near the middle of the shot. It's not dust. I checked the lens and the sensor and they were fresh. Plus the D60 has 2 different mechansims to combat that dust problem.

Those spots you see are called "lens Flare"...its from the light entering the lens and creating those effects

i dont think your camera has it, my d40x has it and so does the d60.

but i think those circles are some sort of lense flair

I'm guessing the ways to offset the lens flare would be to use a lens hood? And also to position myself in front of the light source?

taken with my powershot s3is then used photoshop to merge them to panoramic. woulda looked better with a polarizer lense

Petey, you repaint your bumper/lip/fenders? I knew you needed to repaint ur bumper/lip, but I thought the fenders were fine. They look different, but that maybe b/c of the lighting/angle.

well, that hurricane should be making landfall on my town sometime tomorrow.....i guess i should charge the battery on the d50 now while we still have power....depending on how bad it goes, i might have ALOT too shoot this week
