all H&K guns are smooth... i hate how they look, but damn if they dont shoot amazing and feel good in your hand.
my dad has 2 hi points .... one is a 9mm he keeps in the nitestand or in the RV when they go camping, he also has a .45 autoI am going to buy a hi-point tomorrow. 45.
that is a sick colti'll play along
Different points of view but personally, I just like shooting. it's like playing golf...it's the challenge of getting that ball into that holel. In this case it's you getting the bullet on that target accurately. But for some I would imagine, collection and protection or a little bit of both.I don't want to get flame and s**t, just have a question for all you gunners out there..................
I have been to the gun range sites and it's fun and all. But, I don't see myself owning a gun.
Why you guys do?
Do you need a gun? protection? just for the hell of it?
like I said just wanted to get your guys prespective on this.
most people dont THINK they need a gun.. the problem with that is a gun is the kind of thing that if you WAIT to get one till the day you need you more than likely will be dead... and just owning a gun is worthless.. a gun is a tool that could potentially save your life.. a tool that you need to learn to work with.. the reason i have my guns would be home and life protection... 2 part.. some cracked out thug breaks into my house at 2am? is it unlikely YES its very unlikely.. but its nice knowing that theyres a 40 caliber glock with 13 hollowpoint rounds sitting under my pillow that will provide the only barrier between this scumbag and my life and the life of the people i care about.. the other is extreme civil unrest... i have other more tactical firearms that would be ideal for situations such as those in Louisiana where the government completely lost all order and people were looting and s**t.. i can tell you one thing.. my home.. would NOT be looted in that situation.. these are situations you dont plan for.. dont expect to happen.. but when they happen.. you better be f**king prepared.. because if you are not.. you could potentially lose your life.. or be put in a situation where you have to watch yoru loved ones be hurt... the right to bear arms is essential to the safety of our nation.. and EVERY citizen in good legal standing should own and be proficient with a firearm... it really could be the only thing that saves your life one night... lets face it a criminal is not going to wait for you to dial 911 and wait for the police to come..I don't want to get flame and s**t, just have a question for all you gunners out there..................

what guns do you build for a living.. if you are a gunsmith i have some specific questions id like to ask you about 992 compliance..i build guns for a living, and i own one fire-arm (colt 1991).
i love to target shoot, and its nice to know i have somthing for protection when im not at the range.
i also feel everyone should shoot at least one gun in their life.. just so they know how to use them correctly.
I understand what you're trying to say, but at the same time "having a gun under my pillow" that's a bit too extreme for ME. I guess it comes down too where we live and if we feel safe in that place. I haven't heard of a familly relative, friend, neighbor that has gone thru a situation like the one you're saying. Although I'm aware that it can happen(hope not).most people dont THINK they need a gun.. the problem with that is a gun is the kind of thing that if you WAIT to get one till the day you need you more than likely will be dead... and just owning a gun is worthless.. a gun is a tool that could potentially save your life.. a tool that you need to learn to work with.. the reason i have my guns would be home and life protection... 2 part.. some cracked out thug breaks into my house at 2am? is it unlikely YES its very unlikely.. but its nice knowing that theyres a 40 caliber glock with 13 hollowpoint rounds sitting under my pillow that will provide the only barrier between this scumbag and my life and the life of the people i care about.. the other is extreme civil unrest... i have other more tactical firearms that would be ideal for situations such as those in Louisiana where the government completely lost all order and people were looting and s**t.. i can tell you one thing.. my home.. would NOT be looted in that situation.. these are situations you dont plan for.. dont expect to happen.. but when they happen.. you better be f**king prepared.. because if you are not.. you could potentially lose your life.. or be put in a situation where you have to watch yoru loved ones be hurt... the right to bear arms is essential to the safety of our nation.. and EVERY citizen in good legal standing should own and be proficient with a firearm... it really could be the only thing that saves your life one night... lets face it a criminal is not going to wait for you to dial 911 and wait for the police to come..
this is the downside to gun ownership. It's those who carry gun cause they're a bunch of PUSSIES to defend themselves. Whenever there's a fight, they automatically want to pull out a gun to solve the problem. IT'S DUMB, it's STUPID. But most gun owners carry for the passion of target shooting/competition and for home protection...and with responsiblity and safety knowledge.I understand what you're trying to say, but at the same time "having a gun under my pillow" that's a bit too extreme for ME. Maybe I have this prespective when it comes too owning a gun. What I have seen are "accidents" because of a gun.
*Dumb dad didn't put a lock on the drawer and the kid got the gun and boom, his shoot in the leg.
*Crazy f**kers out there, get into a fight or whatever, they get their ass kicked, they come back all tough and s**t and start firing.
Those are the things that I've seen. Maybe that's why I have this prespective.
kids can get hurt on butcher knives... electrical outlets.. etc.. a firearm is just another tool in the home, and it needs to be treated as such.. when i am in my home i carry.. i actually find it safer than leaving the gun somewhere.. whith the gun always on me i KNOW a child does not have access.. a safe for the rest of the firearms..I understand what you're trying to say, but at the same time "having a gun under my pillow" that's a bit too extreme for ME.
