I picked up my Type-R lip today.

I got home and realized it was a 96-98. Uggh, I was so excited to put it on too.
I never thought I would say this, but I hope it's a Type R Style lip.

I forgot you are on this board and everything has to be technical and detailed to meet your requirements.

I picked up a 1996, 1997, 1998 Type R STYLE plastic lip for a Honda Civic. It did not fit my 1999 Honda Civic front OEM bumper. I will be driving back to the store and will be picking up my 1999-2000 Type R STYLE front lip for my 1999 Honda Civic hatchback.

Yeah, I went back yesterday and all they had was Mugen Style.. f**k!! Drove all the way there for nothing. The b***h said to come back today and shell have it in stock. Oh I hope so... I was supposed to have it on on Saturday!!
On a side note, my girlfriend just broke her second lip. :smackself

Any other mods that havent been listed?? What about smoked side markers? Thanks for all the C&C!

The fog bezels will stay gun metal, it gives good contrast.

Anyone know which was the spray that I spray on the headlights to give it that Type-R head light appearance?

Only because she knows/and wants to learn alot doesn't mean you have to pick on her.

I got it!

CTR headlights, even CTRish would work :D

Maybe paint the black molding/mirrors?

Car is almost there, couple things n you're golden.

needs to be lowered more, painted moldings sideskirts and mirrors. i dont care for the red that comes on the ek's it fades too easy and theres so many. but painting the black peices and lowering it more will change the appearance a ton.

I would say the very least is get an Si or Type R style grille.

Lower profile tires. Paint lips/skirts. mirrors too. Change headlights.

I think it looks pretty good man. Like a lot have said though, I'd paint match the unpainted parts, smaller tires, si grill and paint the headlight housing gunmetal.

Contrary to some other comments, I like tint. I think the ride height is good, but it might look a bit better if lowered a little more. What springs/shocks/coilovers are you using if you don't mind me asking?

You totally misunderstood my post.

I was saying I hope you didn't mistake a REAL '99-'00 Type R lip for a REAL '96-'98 Type R lip.

It's easy to mix up the Type R Style lips if they're not on a car, but the real ones look totally different from one another.

Its just riding on Progress springs with blown OEM shocks. Im thinking of picking up some Tokico Illuminas or something with a "sporty" feel to it.

Needs different lips, different or no centercaps, sideskirts, mirrors, side moldings and door handles paint matched.
Not diggin' the Odyssey Center caps?

I got home and found out the camera had some dust on the lens. Which is why the pictures are a little blurry. :brickshead:
At least you guys have sharper, better pictures.

Thank you all for the criticism. I cant wait to paint match now!! Everyday it bugs me MORE and MORE! If anyone else has anything that should be added to the car that hasnt been said please say it!!

As for the paint, it hasnt started fading yet. It still has its red to it. But it has TOO many scratches, bird acid, cracks, and blemishes in the paint that not even a professional detail can fix (as you can seee in the foglight picture).

Anything someone here DOES NOT like about the car?
