Multiple layers? Have yet to find out that does :what:

Think about trying to match the exposure levels? Duplicate the layer/shot, erase the car, bump exposure on the rear, big eraser to fade out the (now) blown out front to expose the original front below that. :what:

I suck at explanations
When you posted what you did for that old photo, for some reason, I never thought about making different "edits" of one photo and just bringing them together. For that one, one layer was an underexposed background, and one was normally exposed. Just put the under exposed on top and erased the car. I should have done another layer with the front end under exposed, to get rid of that nasty glare. Did that make any sense.

^ :rolf:

when you gonna start postin more of your work? ;)
I haven't been anywhere near my camera for atleast a couple of weeks to a couple of months. I have had no time whatsoever to go walk around and shoot. Been so busy

Hopefully i'd try to go out and get some shots today.

highlighted the eyes, and sharpened it more than the rest of the photos?

whatever you did, it looks better than the other edit. :thumbs up

I actually have a baby shower to shoot in another week, so i'll be posting up some pictures of the new born....any tips john?

new adjustment layer, chanel mixer, monocrhome and mess w/ the sliders until i got a b&w image i was happy enough with...then dropped the opacity to let a little color through...

then new curves adjustment layer...upped the highlights, dropped the shadows...inverted that, and then painted around the cheeks, nose, few other areas (not the eyes though)

another new curves adjusment layer...this time upped the blacks, which brought out the eyes, but made them look pretty "flat", so i also dragged the lower left corner of the curves over the right just slightly, to make them pop....again, inverted it, and this time only painted over the eyes to bring them out

new color balance layer, and just cooled the colors down a little bit

as for shooting babies (that sounds so wrong if your not a photographer  ) talk to the parents, and see if they are comfortable w/ you basically just hovering around them....its hard to pose a new born other than just laying flat on its back....but if you can get in nice and close while they are being held, and just snap off as many as you can, your bound to get some good ones

i got lightroom, its a neat program. runs a little slower than photoshop on my computer (stfu my pc sucks ) but its basically the raw editor in photoshop, but can be used on jpegs too.

heres two pics i've done so far.

this is out of my friends 427whp boosted del sol, which i had the privilage of driving ( zomg best day ever ):
(friend took the shot, i edited it)

Old pic of a flower i took, i know its kind of out of focus =/

and also w00t new stuff came today for my camera. its a tube adapter for my point and shoot so i can attach any 52mm lens filter to it, and it also came with a lens hood to make it look more professional

idk, now i just feel like a dslr wanna-be  but the polarizer is sweet. i paid $50 for a nice one, brand is called Digital or something i think, got it at a local camera store. i can already see the difference in how well it reduces glaring compared to how my friends old $15 one did.

test pic with the polarizer: (i know theres something in the corner of the shot, its because i didn't rotate the lens hood out of the way -_- )

Pic of camera with attachments:

i can also buy a 52mm-50mm step down ring to attach any dslr (or slr) lens to it backwards for very crisp extremely close up macro shots.

having fun in the del sol  it was on tiny 195 tires so it never hooked, that was a 120 pull starting in 3rd gear, had to let up when i shifted into 4th because it was just spinning. car was also pulling all over the highway
sorry for popping noise, it was the camera, does it randomly. and you can hear my friend (one with the camera) freaking out getting scared
