This is true. My wife and I did just fine in a 2000 Accord with 2 kids. The rear facing carseat is a bit tight with 2, but for one you just put the seat in the middle. You're definitely gonna want 4 doors though. I tried putting the rear facing seat in my coupe this weekend, and after fighting with it for 5 minutes in the heat I decided just to take the minivan, lol. We didn't necessarily need a minivan for my family, but we frequently go places with the family + neighbors, friends, etc.

Yeah... I did some thinking and barrowed a friend's niece's car seat and tried fiddling around with it for practice. It's not so bad once ya get the hang of it. Just a little time and patience.

You put the seat in the back of what car? The new infant seat have the base that goes in, and then the other part that just pops in and out. But pretty quickly they grow out of that little seat and need the other kind. Then you leave the seat in and get the baby in and out. Not fun to be leaning into the back seat with a 24 lb child, trying not to bump her head on the door frame and get her into the seat.Yeah... Now with my older child (6 yo) it's a breeze. I tell him to get his booster seat out of the van and get in the car.
Both cars I would be mostly using it in, my white 5th gen hatchie and my red 5th gen coupe, backseats.
I'm thinking that's gonna get old trying to get the child into the backseat. But it's your call. If you were closer I'd sell you the stroller/carseat combo I have. Let you try it out, etc.
Honestly if you were going to get rid of one of those hatches I don't know which one it should be. Can't imagine how hard it would be for you having done so much work. I had a teal 93 hatch, but it was auto. Sold it to the guy down the street, and I wave to it all the time.

Some guy at work had an 04 Altima. His gf got preggers and he went out and got a Highlander.. I was like "Dude, you had a 4 door with enough room for the baby, 3 of them at that." He said he needed it. He still has it, but drives his GFs Focus because gas is too expensive.

So I recently found out I'm knocked up. Since I am healthy and near the end of my first trimester, this is my attention whore announcement.I'm due January 6th. John aka "dood on the couch!" aka "old balls" or as I like to call him "Pollack" is the father-to-be.
This is some exciting news for us considering we never thought John could have kids. He was married for 15 years to his ex wife and was not able to concieve, After their divorce, his ex wife remarried and had a little girl. I found out two weeks ago he really doesn't shoot blanks.
So with all this happening so fast and so untraditional for me, we are doing a quickie wedding in August with my family and close best friends. We've already got the wedding rings and I got my wedding dress.
On a funny note... The morning I told John I was preggers, he told me that we should sell the hatchies. I told him "I will abort the lil bastard before I sell the hatchies!"

Based on the recent car seat I picked out at Buy Buy Baby, the local fire dept. said it was one of the best models I could pick out. It better be if I'm paying $300+ tax for this kid. It's just the infant seat till about when she is 2 and grown out of it. So I'll just cross the path of being tired of hauling it in and out of the car and think about another car seat when it comes to that point.Pffft like I'm really gonna sell my hatchies so some shithead kid can run it into the ground and blow the motors up.
