I know it might sound sound silly, but the cupholder won't hold my coffee travel mug without it spilling when I take off. I hate that I have to either hold the mug, or take off really slow to avoid spilling coffee all over the console. Anyone know of a travel mug that fits these cupholders, or some sort of attachement to make the cupholder work better. This can be my first mod, lol! JDM cupholder.

I just dont have drinks in my car because of this problem...unless its a bottled soda or gatorade, then i just wedge it between the seat and the center consol.

haha

Is the cupholder on the 98 the same as the one on the 2000? It just happened again on my way back from lunch. Baja Blast all over the console!

This is the 96-98 cup holder. You can just take off the lid and it will be almost like the 99-00. I think the design inside is a bit different. PM if interested, the only thing is the lid doesn't exactly close well.

96-98 cupholder is way better

the 99-00 ones are made for big gulps or something, so anything normal sized just flys out.

:word:

i swapped to 96-98. it's got the lid that clicks into place, and you can move your DIN headunit down there

96-98 > 99-00 cupholder consoles

I love this mug, it keeps cold liquids cold for 12 hours, hot for 4 hours and you can drop it all you want it will not spill, fits nicely and the outside stays cool to the touch, no burning, I found a 2 pack at Costco for $25

I just ordered some of these from ebay this morning. If they don't work as you describe I will hunt you down and steal your 96 cupholder.

I hate the cupholders, they only hold Snapples and such well, but not small in diameter drinks such as Juice Sqeeze or water bottles. They always tend to fly out of the cupholder. Haha.

Just got these mugs today, and wow do they work awesome! I can shake it upside down and coffee doesn't come out. And, they don't fly out of the cupholder, and have been tested to 6k rpm. Thanks very much for the suggestion!!!
