i want to get you guys opinions about my set up. hopefully im headed in the right direction, i still consider myself a noob so please correct me when im wrong. my goals for my 93 si are about 200hp to the wheels and 200 foot pounds of torque. i dont know much about electronics and wiring so if its not plug and play im not messing with it. its currently throwing CELs about a MAP sensor/missing link but a friend of mine will chip an ecu for me so i wont have to use the greddy blue box anymore. if i've left anything out please let me know. i pretty much want to be done with this and make it as reliable as i can so i can give to my younger brother for school. im honestly getting to old for this.

current set up
d16z6 with about 200k!!
everythings stock unless stated otherwise
greddy td04-15g turbo and manifold, internal waste gate
greddy down pipe
greddy fuel management(not sure if this is blue box or not)
greddy ic
running on basemap with 5-6 psi, untuned im assuming.

plans
walbro 255 lph fuel pump
dsm 450cc injectors
chipped ecu to replace greddy fuel management altogether, letting my friend handle this bc i know jack about tuning
apexi ws2 exhaust, only concern with this is will the diameter be big enough
maybe ARP head studs
maybe ARP rod bolts

i would love to do some internal work but highly doubt i'll get around to it.

no maybes on the head studs just do it, it will make ur motor so much more reliable. if u want 200whp reliably u have to tune.
also u might not be able to make 200whp and also 200 lbs/tq... mostlikely something like 200 whp and 180 something torque... this is a honda remember unless u can get a turbo small enough... it happens but really depend on set up.

I recommend reconditioning your motor before putting that turbo on. Back it up also with some new head studs, and you'll be good to go. You wont have a problem seeing 200whp either, just the torque wont be as near as what you'd expect.

Z6, port and polished head with a 3 angle valve job and resurfaced face, hot bathed and resurfaced block, ARP head studs, new gasket set. If you do decide to tune it, you can run around 9-10lbs safely on that motor with that turbo. You'll see your 200+hp but lower torque, yet relatively close though.

im not even sure what recondition my motor involves but it sounds like it'll put it down for a few days. my cars a dd so that might run into a problem. i wished i lived in california where it seems theres a performance shop on every corner to send my head and block off for work.

You can search on google for machine shops in your location. If theres a local forum you can get on, try to find what machine shops they recommend, etc...

i doubt i can afford the money or time to get my daily driver worked on. where i live is pretty much redneckville with jacked up trucks and ridiculously loud exhaust. i havent found any local boards with honda enthusiasts but i'll keep looking. or i can go across town and hang out with high school ricers!! :shock2:

block guard has to be put on a certain way... best way is also machine shop and have them weld it.... its not something u just slip in.... there is a DIY but use at ur own risk....

i watched my odometer rolled to 200,000 today!!

but anyway, the block gaurd was just a thought. i know imma do the head gasket while i do the head studs and anything else i can think of that wont be to labor intensive.
