I have a 6th gen 96-98 civic and I wanna keep my oem fogs. I wanted to know if anyone has them and are boosted, which IC you went with to keep your foggies if it is at all possible...thanks.
i think the Eaby(godspeed) ones that have the end tanks that are lower on the cooler. (you can flip the cooler, so the endtanks are higher and will clear the fogs.)I have a 6th gen 96-98 civic and I wanna keep my oem fogs. yea, but when the motor is under load it moves, and it's attached to the turbo and manifold thats attached to the pipeing and it will move .i was thinking about this the other day as well as id like to keep mine. i guess you could maybe have the brackets welded on the IC piping but it would be a pain in the ass if you had to take them off
Hence the reason why flexible silicone couplers are used between pipes, the engine, and the intercooler. Your IC piping, especially the ones directly connected to the hot/cold sides of the IC shouldn't move. I still wouldn't suggest fabbing up the brackets onto the piping. When you mount your IC just make sure the bottom end is as close to the radiator support as you can get it. Try to hang it a bit lower too, if you have a lip it'll hide it. Just be easy on the bumpsyea, but when the motor is under load it moves, and it's attached to the turbo and manifold thats attached to the pipeing and it will move .
