cobra laser scanr dont go off when I see sheriff why but goes off any thing else my only guess is that there county not city

if theyre just parked...it wont do anything....they actually have to be firing off their guns for your radar to pick anything up. it doesnt pick a cruiser...it pics up the radar signals.

also....why did you get a laser scanner. it wont do you any good. other than to tell you when youve been hit after the fact.

Research about about X,K, and Ka bands, and understand that not all cops have their radars on. You will not read a laser until they catch your speed.

best part is, your gonna get caught with the detector and in some states their illegal (added fine) OR in court they can say they saw it and that you had the intent to speed, thus lowering your odds of getting off easy.

and yes, they can say "you had the intent to speed". i was standing next to a girl in court when a cop was testifing.

It's a laser/radar detector, not a cop car detector.

Once in awhile, I'll get a little chirp for laser a few seconds before it does it's R2-D2 death scream that indicates I've already had my speed checked. It's not very often though. Usually it's just the scream.

Just get a .9 then those pesky cops can't testify.

Actually Cobra is one of the worst Detectors I have personally ever used. Then again I don't use Detectors no more. Pointless, if you speed always be ready to be pulled over for speeding.

Then again, there are the new devices that actually block radar guns. Some work, while some don't. The ones that DO actually work are pretty pricy tho.
