New Here, 97 Civic Turbo (rice warning)

I used to drive an 05 C230 but decided to get a cheaper daily for college so I don't have to worry about dings/scratches/dents.

So I picked up my first Honda this weekend. Yes, it's a bit ricey but I think it can be fixed with new wheels/body kit.

I'm keeping the car as is until next spring/summer and then I'll be de-ricing it. I saw the following Civic posted on HT and fell in love...I plan to make mine look like that. I still have to search and see what all I need to do to make this happen. Not looking to spend too much as this is just a daily.

daym ricetastic, the car its self is pretty clean, get some oem bumpers, and grill, lose the chrome wheeles, lose the autozone double wipers, get some 99/00 tails, paint the interior stuff thats white , black or somthing, lose the giant tach, and holy f**kin exhaust tip batman, that thing is fawkin huge, prolly go to something you cant stick your head in, someone spent alot of money, just not my style AT ALL, but thats just my opinion,

just saw that you wanna make it look like that bottom pic, that would be f**kin sweet, good luck man

I already got the exhaust changed yesterday, the prevoius owner said he spent over 12k on the car. I agree with the changes that you listed.

I want to wait until next year because I want to use the current body kit during the snow. Also, it's hard for me to work on the car when it's so cold out. I'll have free time during spring break and summer because I'm a full time student. I was hoping to find someone with a white civic that would trade me bumpers. I'm not sure about the sideskirts since they look like they are drilled into the body.

Thanks, any certain threads where people have de-riced well? I'll search but I'd love to see what people have done. I was worring at first, but looks like it can be done.

Thanks man, It's a Huge difference from the mercedes. Just a lot of rattles and the bumpy ride is the biggest difference. I've also owned a 93 Mercury Tracer, 01 Ford Explorer, and 99 Ford Windstar so I've gone through the good and bad.

Man you have a nice platform to work off of. I wish I could have got mine in that kind of condition. Nice turbo set up and killer sound system. G/L with build. i have feeling this one will be sick when it is done. Hell you can probably easily make a few grand off of all the s**t you can sell off of it
