I had that problem and then I bought a stainless steel switch from "Mills Fleet Farm" not sure if you have those...I had been goin with the cheap black plastic ones and before I wired em in I decided to give it one last try. Haven't had a problem since

ive already cut the wires and all that good stuff..and nothing worked, so i gonna try a diff switch, leave the OEM one there. Keep my fogs on all the time (when the cars running) and just leave the other switch hang under the dash.

You could make your own switch, which i recommend to use a fuse. You could wire the fogs to come on with your parking lights, if you'd like, if not....see if you can tape into the remote turn on wire for your headlights.
