Are those easy to change out? How much do they cost about.... I'm surprised it still wouldn't be under a warranty... That sucks..

They're $200 through JVC and the cheapest "buy it now" one I seen on ebay was $120. :angryred: and thanks on the mrtwig.net! :D

I have a 52" 1080i and they're easy to change, just one screw to take out the cover and loosen two screws to take out the bulb. Takes about a minute or two. The warantee ended 9 months ago too! :x

I was going to buy a LCD but was told that they only last about 4yrs tops and when they go, they go! With this one, all I have to do is replace the lamp when it goes out and they're supposed to last around 5yrs too.

if you have the cash, but the factory lamp......

but if it's tight, it's better to save the extra $80 you would have spent now, and save the other $120 over a few months and buy a factory replacement as a backup

you could do this many times compared to the cost of a replacement lcd or plasma tv... and when those go out, they're toasted

So I'm gonna order a lamp tomorrow but I don't know whether I should risk the ebay one for $130 or just buy it from the factory for a little over $200. What do you guys think?

http://cgi.ebay.com/JVC-TS-CL110UAA-Rear-Projection-TV-Lamp-2-Ground_W0QQitemZ110307889084QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPH_Pjojection_Equipment_Accessories?hash=item110307889084&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72:1205|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318

but talk about ghetto......

IT's up to you, if they are both shipped then risk the cheaper one. I hate buying shipped glass, bulbs, etc...

If there is a JVC place locally then the bucks might be worth a peace of mind...

I say life is a gamble; take the cheaper one. If it works out perfectly then go blow the rest of the money on stupid s**t you want. Message him and see how he will ship it for peace of mind.

EDIT: Biz, I'm gonna be honest, her ebay name doesn't entice me "Bonita 84"
