Boost Gauge Help

I just bought a AutoMeter boost gauge and need a little help. Theres a little metal piece that came with the gauge and I don't know where it goes. Also, how do I secure the vaccum line on back of the gauge so that it doesn't pop out?

that little ferull is how you keep the tube in the gauge. put the screw on cap on the tube, then the ferull then tighten the cap onto the gauge, it won't budge.

Yeah, you should be able to tell cause it has 2 DIFFERENT sized nuts to twist on.
