So i traded my 90 integra yesterday for a 97 hx im not really fimilar with the hx model can anyone give me some info on then the good and the bad im not sure if i want to keep it or sell it and get an ex so here it is without the wheel it now has stock wheels he wouldnt give me the good ones :(

hx = vtec-e..e stand for economy..its meant for good gas mileage..horse power wise its 115 hp and 107 tq i think..you should get around 400+ per tank..i'd keep it if i were you

i was told and seeing that they are natorious for bad trannys i think mine is starting to go but i dont think they kid took good care of it i drained the tranny fluid last night and it was pitch black ugh

The transmissions are only as bad as their drivers. People get an HX and say "OMG, I got VTEC!" and beat the s**t out of the car.

get rid of them wheels and get some stockers and that will help with gas mileage too.

yeah hx models auto trannies are known to be broken down after a whlie. but depends on how the driver driven the car.

you should get a regular manual transmission

i would love to but then i need to find a parts car to do that n i dont know the money right now
dont know the money. lol. okay...but i would suggest just going manaul swap and not another auto swap. or dont swap at all if it still works..

i just bought a 96 civic hx 5 speed but wen i bought it the tranny was bad all the gears grinded an 4th was completely out an 5th i had to hold in gear or else it popd out...soo i replaced it with an ex tranny of a 98 civic and lately i ve ben havin a little grind noise like wen its in gear an movin. good thing the motor cumin out in spring for a DOHC swap. sucks that u hav a auto tranny those are the worst lol
