Hey guys,
Just picked up 2 new subs and an amp, got the rca cables hooked up and the wiring between amp and sub but i Need some help with a few things.

1. The POwer Cable has this kind of connection:

Should i take the other one off and put in the old wires to the other slot of this "battery connector thing" and just use this one??

2. Also i have a "remote" cable. Dont really know what to do with it, What is it used for and how do i connect it??

Its not long enough to go all the way to the front so i just put on some speaker wire..is that ok??

All help is greatly appreciated

For the battery one, its more on preference then anything.

As for the remote cable, that should plug into the remore wire off your head unit (This tell the amp to turn on)
Are you running stock or aftermarket head unit?

Just like he said.... the remote is what turns on the amps... if you wired the remote directly to the battery, the amps would be on 24/7. you could separate the copper side of the speaker wire and run it to your head unit.. up to you, Usually an AMP WIRING KIT has everything you need to hook up everything the right way. But everyone likes to do things differently..

If you use your existing battery terminal connector, you might have a hard time getting everything crammed in there, plus they are thin and crappy. Might as well use the new one you have. And as long as whoever installed your aftermarket radio used a vehicle specific harness instead of a hardwire (like the ghetto folk do) your remote will be blue with the white stripe. GL.

THE REMOTE LINE RUNS TO THE REMOTE LINE FROM THE HEAD UNIT.... REMOTE AMP LINE TO REMOTE HEAD UNIT LINE GOT IT??

Thanks a lot guys. So is there anything else i should know about hooking it up??

List:
1.take off negative while installing
2.Take off fuse?? Where is the fuse??? I have 2 on my amp i believe and there is some kind of block thing about a foot away from that metal connection to the positive.
3.Anything else? =)
