well i put the new chip in today.....and the car runs GREAT now......no more hesitating or anything....runs real smooth.....ill get some vids asap

im runnin a bin that i got from zchatch on thezcr.com.....street tuned his zc to 10lbs....only thing that is different is that he has normal compression....mine is pretty low like 8:3:1 or close to that......is that going to make my car run safer or more dangerous? will it run it leaner or richer ?

im going to send my first chip back to the guy from turbod16.com and burn me, his bin that he made.....he made it for my lower compression so im going to check if it will get me any more power.....

I think that since the ratio is LOWER it will run RICHER.....not quite sure on that though.

car runs real good though.....seems to have some more pull on it as well.....just wish i had a wideband to see how it is really running.....cleaned up the sparkplugs b4 i put in the chip though....im gonna check them in a couple of days to see how its running....

yea i havent really messed with that yet....what program are you using....ive messed with both turboedit and BRE....and i have to say i like BRE a lot better......

well with the ECU im trying to locate being a OBD1 I am using crome. I like it a lot so far, but i keep hitting big bumps in the road. keep getting errors, have to re-install a lot, but really thought, the program rocks. I am still tinkering but just figured out how to make the launch control and my friend is trying to make a map that uses a two step for his eg turbo, just cause he likes scaring people in his old EF turbo that VIP tuned for him. f**k those were the good ol days

its already pretty short....when im in 5th gear @ 80mph im at 4,000rpms.....i think its just my low compression killing the power....

80mph at 4000rpms? thats like an LS transmission for a b-series. thats not at all short. not by honda standards at least.

it sounds like u would benefit from a shorter trans because your car is falling flat on its face everytime u shift.

most honda engines, especially 1.6liters are pretty peaky with their powerband.

think maybe the 7lb flywheel has anything to do with it???

im also gonna take out my pcv valve and plug the nipple on the intake mani to see if that helps any....

absolutely not. i've been using 7lb flywheels on engines that make less hp then your car is making with the same gear ratios...

My b16 trans is at 3700 at 70 mph, my Ls trans is at 3300 at 70. So 4k at 80 isn't too short, it is about like the Ls trans like he said. Hopefully you get it worked out. You can drive it now, so you can drive it to get it tuned now.

he's been driving it (untuned) for months, dude.

he doesn't get it tuned because he's too cheap. we've discussed this.

A tune on a turbo car is night and day, Africa and Russia. There is no comparison. The tune will do everything you need, and will make it go much faster.
