Thats what i'm thinking i'm going to need to get next. I did this lil dinner party and I really could have used the 1.8. f3.5 wasn't nearly good enough.
it really does come in handy when there's not enough light. i actually use my sigma 2.8 more than i use my 50mm 1.8

i just don't like to get to close or far away, cause with the 2.8 i can zoom and the 1.8 is fixed...sucks :???:

which sigma 2.8? 24-70?

on another note i may be switching from canon to nikon. d300, couple sb800s or sb600s depending on money, and would rebuy the sigma 24-70 2.8 but for nikon. just need to sell my 40D, XTi kit, sig 24-70 2.8, sigma 530 super flash, im not sure which type of memory the d300 uses but i think its SD so would have to sell my 4 memory cards in that case... just so much crap haha.

D300 is an awesome camera, but more importantly the usability of its wireless flash control. unless anyone can show me some cheaper but good transceivers and receivers. maybe alien bees? I still have more research to do on that stuff and maybe i'll keep with canon just because i REALLY like them. I really want a 5D MKI and some nice L glass. the canon 24-70 2.8 is like $1000 give or take new and the canon 24-70 2.8 is like $1400 new...???? but ya i really dont want to switch because it would cost me over $2200 to basically get back to the same kind of setup.
