The only part is the display. But even that gets really dim when i turn on my headlights. So the display is bright like normal with the car on but the buttons never light up. Then as soon as i turn on my lights the display gets really dim. And its not the dimmer on the car cuz thats on the brightest setting.

The parts department can also get you the code. Some people are dicks and will ask for your ID, etc. etc. but I always just do it. :what:

01 and up models can press and hold the 1 and 6 preset buttons to get the SERIAL # which still has to be punched into Honda for the actual radio code itself.

Just clearing up some info for archive purposes.

Service is the only place who can give you the radio code. Sometimes they won't. Some vehicles will have the code or serial # on the glovebox. If you hold down 1 & 6 it will give you the code as well. I can't remember if that works for all vehicles though.
just to let you know ....holding 1 & 6 works on newer models that have ATC and require too much to remove radio ...also the # you get from holding 1 & 6 is a serial # not the code...you would have to take that serial # and enter it in the honda database and the person who is entering also has to enter the last 4 of there SSN...

(by the way i use to work for Honda...lol!!)

Amazing! Honda employeews should work for homeland security! Who the hell really wants a OE stereo? I can see dvd or navigation, but a 6th gen unit?

Thats ok, I got refused for service today at my friendly neighborhood honda dealer because my service i requested wasnt some huge ticket.

Actually, there are plenty of OE radios that are high theft items. I know lots of people who want Si radios, much less all the upgraded audio units Honda has used in their cars.

You don't need to talk to service. Parts will have the code.
