If you got painted steelies post some pics up!!!!! I couldn't find any threads on clubcivic about painted steelies so I am starting one...i painted mine white....i also found a bunch of pics on the internet with others with painted steelies too so I'll show those too....

Here is my work in progress...please excuse the bondo...
and yes i know the rear needs to be lowered....workin on it!

haha this guy got rid of that car and now has an ASM 8th gen 4dr si. and he painted his stock rims black with a green lip, but now has them all green. funny you found that pic.

and ur white steelies look good!

you can buy the chrome rings for your steelies instead of painting them......just type wheel beauty ring on ebay and you'll find em.

I painted mine this past summer. I used chrome for the "lip" and it was REALLY tricky because it ran so much. I had to do like 3/4 coats and it still turned out not-so-great. Never took pics because the chrome was just so shitty. But it did look cool from a distance though. I had 2 wheels with flat black and 2 wheels with chrome lip / glossy black and I was rockin them without hubs . This was when I wasn't lowered too . Ricers FTW!

yeah.....i dont think i would try painting a lip on them....if anything i would just get the chrome beauty rings and just put them on.

I just decided to do mine cause i cant afford rims just yet and someone who had this car before me painted the wheels flat black with cheap paint and they were all peeling and nasty looking....so i sanded em down and painted them white....makes the whole car look alot cleaner at least until i can get some decent rims.
