96 Hatchback Help Please!

Hi Guys
I'm trying to swap a obd1 gsr engine in to a 96 hatchback. To do this swap do I have to change the alternator and the disturbutor on the engine since it's a obd2 civic. The civic is missing the body harness and i jave to het a new one. if it make any difference.Thanks ahead for all the help.

obd1 gsr engine, obd1 harness, p72 ecu in 96 civic hatchback. do i need to change the alternator and distributor since the civic is a obd2? Thanks.

just find a complete motor swap..i dropped an obd1 motor in my originally obd2 car and used the same wiring harness and worked fine..had some plugs left over though

you can use the same harness, as long as you re wire all the plugs correctly. however it would be easier to just get the harness for your obd1 engine lol
