High output alternators

You shouldn't even need a high output alternator.....the 08's are pretty stout. Even a cap or two would be all you really need unless you're just looking to make a ridiculous amount of noise, not music. Anyway, back to the point. The only place I have seen them is on ebay for some earlier model civics.
I've heard they only have an 80 amp alternators in them stock (unless someone else knows better), and my lights dim when i turn my system up and its barely pushing 500 watts. It not too bad im not looking for anything huge maybe like 130 or so (if it does only have an 80 amp in it) just enough to take that strain off my electrical system, with all the driving thats the last thing i need to break or short out.
dont try a cap, just get an high output alternator
look into an accord alternator. They are interchangable for certain years and wont cost nearly as much as an HO alt. The one im using is for a 2.4L accord which produces around 90 or 100amps i forget which. You can also add another battery. Make sure you use a battery isolator so that one battery will power your system while the other will power the car. If you do this you probably dont even need the accord alternator. DonRowe.com is who i bought mine from. Caps are only a temp fix to the problem. Do the big 3 re-ground too it will help the charging system.
Capacitors dont do s**t.....its been proven.....just stick with a HO Altenator....check on ebay or google for one....
High output alternators are made engine specific, not car model specific. So yeah. Search for an alternator for your engine. That should make searching easier.
