ok so my car is obd1 chipped with crome. it was running fine for about 2 days, then yesterday i pushed it a little and the car died with a cel. cel code 3 map sensor? it wouldnt start so then i took the jumper out the ecu to run stock pr4 and started up. later that day i disconnected the map sensor and plugged it back in.
i then put the jumper in the ecu again and it ran fine until i put load on it in high rpm and the car died again. i would not start. itl crank start then die.

so i run pr4 map for the time being. then i decide to pull the map off the chip and look at it. then reburned one over and now with the jumper in to run the chip i have a solid cel and in limp mode.

whats happening to me lol

the new bin you put on the chip is no good, thats why u have a solid CEL, sounds like your map sensor it faulty

i looked at my old bin and changed a few things around on that and put the chip back in, got the cel(usually happens to me when i remove chip and put back in) i turn key off and back on before start of car and it went away drove fine but i didnt understand why this happened?

when running the oem pr4 i didnt get the map cel though

What is the setup on the car?

Is it only throwing code 3 when the CEL comes on?

yes only code 3. and i changed the map and it went away. but i like the old map because i got the car running smoothly until this happened. i switch out old map and i get s**t mpg and car bog sputter low rpm. i cant seem to recreate my map lol cause i forgot to save it.

u tried doing your own program? u should leave that to the pros n just burn a stock program onto tha chip.
crome has stock pre-made programs so u can run your car till u get it tuned.

yeah stop messing with ur ECU if you dont know what your doing. Bring it to a tuner ASAP before u do some damage.

uhh for 1 the stock z6 crome maps suck at least for me my car will not move with one in. and this is not my first time street tuning, but it is the first time experiencing this problem. after i put my old map in the problem went away but it was a bit rich.

the only thing that i saw was a complete change from the other maps(like a setting disabled, like O2 sensor or something) was in the map that threw the code 3 had atmospheric sensor disabled.

Depending on how much your car is modified you will use the correctsponding map. If your car is highly modified then you can use a stock b16 map just till you take it to get tuned. Those basemaps are not to slap on your chipped ecu and leave there forever.

And you can disable any sensor with any basemap with crome.

EDIT: by the way are you running boost?
