Hey guys i finally got a pic of that speedo!!!


Whats up dudes!! Hey im looking at getting a 97 Civic lx sedan.........To make a long story short the mileage on the speedo reads like 919526ish. Is it just me or DAMN that freaking car has gone a loooooooonng way. Im a little puzzled because it just purrs like a kitten and drives excellent. It has been wrecked. But the whole front end has been replaced. Im no expert by any means but it appears that it is the original motor.Any ideas on why the mileage is so un-freaking-believably-high.

maybe someone fooled with the mileage m dad always said to look at the first number in your case the 9xx,xxx and see if it straight because it will be crooked or offset if it has been tampered with maybe to try to lower the miles to sell it to an idiot???

someone probably switched out the cluster... i just bought a 97 ek 4 door dx and it actually has auto cluster in it the title says 70 thousand miles and the cluster says 68 thousand miles so yea lol

The last digit on the odometer is tenths of a mile. It is probably 91,952 and 6 tenths of a mile. Drive it and see if the last digit moves up 1 even if you havent driven a mile yet. That's your answer.

maybe they go to college a few thousand miles away and would come home on every holiday(xmas, thanksgiving, etc) and vacations. or whenever he wants, cuz he's too scared to fly.

Its been tampered with or your reading it wrong, the body would have fallen to pieces by now.

i know of a car where the mileage has gone around 3times (same motor). it was the old school hatchback accord. i'mnot sure what year that is.

Civicmafia man seriously i think its either from another car or someone has messed with it. I went this morning and looked at it again.......you know thinking maybe i HAD looked at it wrong. It acutally reads 911xxx. Like i said i think imma get it so ill keep yoou guys posted
