I have been considering taking the A/C out of my car because I never use it, I am going to replace my pulleys soon, and it is extra weight off the front end. I have already relocated my battery, which helped a lot with handling and weight distribution, and was wondering if i'd be wasting my time with this idea.

The weight isn't the biggest thing. It reduces the parasitic hp loss on the car, thats the biggest advantage. Well that and more room for a big effin downpipe. Just watch out, if it rains and its 90+ out, it becomes very very difficult to defog a windshield without AC.
I live in Fort Bragg, CA... most likely you've never heard of it and if you have you know it's right next to the ocean and that it never gets above 70 degrees here. I think the look under the hood would be really neat along the hp gain. That is another good reason. I'm not too worried about not being able to defog in "tropical" areas, heh... Thanks for the suggestions, any more are always welcome... 
I dont know if they make any AC delete kits for our car, but just look around and you might find something. Are you the one who said you were ordering the pulley set?

You mean that the DX came stock without A/C so the belt from the DX would fit perfectly and i would have to guess and check for other belts to fit?!?
What what? I relocated my battery from the front of the car to the trunk (passenger side). I'm going to make a thread about it once I complete the finishing touches. It was way more work than it sounds...
Yeah, I want to order that pulley kit along with a cam gear. I haven't heard much on the AEM cam gear so ima look into that, but I'm not gonna get that stuff for a while. Lately I'm just gaining knowledge on the subject. I'm planning mainly to do the timing belt and everything at the same time that way I don't have to dig back in... Also I'm doing as much as I can to lighten up the front end in low cost ways.
I think he was saying that to imply that relocating your battery would not help your handling as much as you said it did. I think I agree, just moving that 30ish pounds to the trunk is not going to significantly improve your handling. But, doing a bunch of mods like that will.
Im pretty sure that getting a cam gear wont really do anything unless you also get an upgraded cam. That being said, whatever you decide to do....make sure if you DO get an upgraded cam and cam gear, have it tuned professionally. Especially that cam gear. Toneekay ran an upgraded cam without having it tuned and didnt have any problems, but if you upgrade your cam gear and dont get it tuned, you can run into some problems.
And for future reference....theres a blue button next to the quote button, use that to quote multiple people at the same time, makes things MUCH easier
It's not that relocating the battery takes 30lbs off the front end it's putting about 40 lbs in the trunk where you need weight the most on any vehicle front wheel drive and rear wheel drive. So, yes it did significantly improve handling. Also the battery is in front of the front wheels origionally in pretty much the worst spot it could be for handling purposes. By the way I do all my own installs. I am learning the trade from my father who has been in the business for 22 years the best and longest rep in the town. I hate the internet because it probably sounds like I'm bragging but i'm just telling you that i am capable of tuning. We have every tool in the book. This car is my practice car (that i have fun with). My father allows me to work for him as long as i don't do it for a career because he hates the business... heh.
Youre shifting about 60lbs total, taking 30 off the front and moving it to the back. I didnt say that it was useless, I just think that most of the handling is probably in your head if its all that youve done. Like an intake, you throw an intake on and stomp on the gas more, you think you have more power.
sorry pal, no way in hell are you going to actually feel the difference in moving a damn battery to your trunk.

if you auto x your car with a relocated battery to the trunk, you'll notice a slight difference in handling.
As well as in spirited driving on mountain roads. I shaved a minute and a half off my time through the road. Did it today and it was even a little moist so I had to go a little slower in a few shady areas... All in all, I guarentee that it had helped.
Also it's a bigger increase than a 60lbs because you use a bigger battery when you relocate the batter to the trunk. I switched to a MTP-24F. This battery was at least 15lbs heaver than the MT-47. I think it was a 47, it may be the 41. Whatever the stock battery is in the 7th gen civics they around 30lbs... Therefore, the more weight on the passenger side rear wheel which will help get the back end around on corners. As most spirited drivers know, FWD tends to pull you through a curve and doesn't want to let you whip the back end. Anyone who has driven a porche spiritedly knows that all they want to do is whip the back end. So in civics (which act like they are pulling a trailer), the more weight you can distribute to the rear the better... There are other reasons to move it to the rear in other RWD cars as well but it doesn't matter right now...
