For the people who already built their motor for boost (d16z6), how much did you spend in total? i wana rebuild my engine but dont know how much it will cost me..

thank you very much, that is what i was looking for..my engine is finally giving up (it has 327000 km on it or 196200 miles) so im thinking about rebuilding it for 10 - 15 psi
yep...i got the rods and pistons for cheap though so expect around 800 bucks for both rods and pistons....probably 300 for rods and around 500 for pistons....good luck man...if you need any help feel free to PM me

The only bad part about that is honing a stock block with so many miles on it . Once the block is honed, usually there is too much material taken out and the ring end gap is no longer within tolerance . Best bet would be to do the vitara's .02 overbore . IMO
damn im getting my ls rods for 60 dollars.. goodluck with the build man
My water pump, timing belt and head gasket are all new and OEM, do i need to change them as well ?
ls rods are still thin...maybe hold 300whp if that...
if they are new, then no...
Ruining your rebuilt bottom end without a tune, priceless.

im just curious, what are the chances of blowing my motor after a complete rebuild and a tune? Anyone had it before or heard of anyone who had such a bad luck ?? it will suck if i put $2500 or more into my engine and never last lol..
