It has been done. If you know anything about alarms, then it's a piece of cake.

actually now that i think about it if you look closely at the picture with my fog lights the one on the left is broken/ cracked, due to the cat on the back of my car knocking it off a ledge.... i hate that cat.

I recently wired my push start about a month ago. No problems. I use it to start my car every day.

lol well, i mean is there any other way besides that button to start your car -_-, actually where did you get your button installed ive seen write ups where people put it in there 12v outlet, im not sure if thats the "prefered" place, or if thats just the most logical spot.

had one on my old orange hatch, worked fine, no problems..
put mine on the side of my drivers seat...
the car could not be started without it, so it made it harder to steal and also made it a b***h to get my oil changed at shops if i forgot to tell them it was there...

The location and the type of button is up to you i did it to my brothers 240sx and placed the button on the floor front left corner so he can step on it with his left foot to start his car but its well hidden and safe enough so he can't accidentally step on it. just be creative and remember that this is not a safety feature it can be a cool thing to turn on your car

You still need to put the key into the ignition and turn it to the 2nd position. The button takes over the 3rd position. I can still start the car though without using the button.

Video is in the link in my signature (build thread). Just scroll down a bit to find the push start update.

Wow, I wonder who came up with that location for the push start - that DOES look real nice. ;)

First off my cat would die if I caught it on my car.
When I first bought my house, we had dozens of feral cats in the neighborhood. They completely ruined my old F-150 and my 99 Civic. I had a Camaro I wanted to paint but before I did, I went on a killing spree. I f**king hate cats.
