I just bought an EG with a B16B already installed. Question to me now is do I want to Supercharge it or just build it with no boost? I am leaning towards that Jackson Racing but I don't know. I would like to hear some of your suggestions. Thanks.

kind of a broad question, what do you want to use the car for? and what is your end goal?

basically I just like to build cars and daily drive them until I sell off to someone else. I am kind of puzzled with the B16B though, because I have built an all motor car but never had and wanted a supercharger. reminder this will likely be a daily driver and will probably be sold in less than a year. I am looking for others opinion on what I should do just for ideas and to see what everyone else would do.

if your selling in a year keep it as is and sell it. dont sink a ton of money into it if your probably not going to get it back.

isn't a b16b like an 11.1 compresion ratio? if it is, you need to stay n/a unless your trying to build the bottom end with some low compresion pistons.... I would just do n/a and call it a day

I would go for N/A for the simple fact that it's already a high compression motor. If I had a B16b, I would get a new IM, TB, intake, header, exhaust, then pretty much build up the head. No reason to dip into the block, add on a EMS + tune. Rev the engine to 9,500 and call it a day.

^Just a few ideas...

id build it NA. Throw in some agressive cams, intake manifold, TB, intake, header, and exhaust.........and when you decide to sell it, take everything out and put the stock stuff back in and sell the parts individually

if you are just going to sell it within a year dont waste your money on a supercharger. u'll spend like 3 4 grand on just the supercharger then to install then you need to tune it. will come out to like 5 6 grand.. and for what you aren't going to get that money back when you sell it.. not worth it.. just my .02

I feel that way now myself. I don't think I would sell after that. Not bad ideas either. I have been researching and I came across a lot of parts that I could use for the high compression dream, also I have found the Jackson Racing supercharger that I could buy. Thanks for all the info and ideas. Maybe one day I will figure it out.

I say I will probably sell it because like some people, I will work on it until I get bored with it. That is why I am leaning more toward supercharging because I would just install, tune and drive it. Not really spending any more money than that.
