I have a 15" box and nothing else...I guess thats a good thing..more options to choose from.
I'm looking into a kicker comp cvr 15...500w rms and 1000w peak.
is this a good choice? and if so, which amp should i get?
money isn't really an issue. I could spend a good 3 or $400 on a sub and an amp if I need to.

opinions please =)

yeah i was considering memphis too...
i'm really confused about amps. I just don't get all the s**t: ohms, rms, peak, mono block, 2 channel, etc.
what does it all mean?

Loudness does not = sound quality. Everyones level of quality is different, and obviously your and mine are different.
oh mine was quality, it was super f**king deep, no distortion, and clear as a f**king bell

what does it all mean?
Ohms (Ω)- The amount of resistance or load a speaker presents
RMS- Actual power rating in which the speaker can continuously handle. This is number you want to pay attention to.
Peak or max power- The number you do not want to pay attention to, it benefits you in know way.
Mono- 1 channel amp used for subwoofers.
2 channel- Can be bridged to combine the power of both channels into one to run sub(s), or each channel can go to separate speakers.

You definitely need to read up on voil coils, ohm loads, and wiring before you select your sub/amp combo. the12volt.com is a great source. Also, Rockford Fosgate's webiste has a "woofer wiring wizard" which gives great depictions of the different wiring combinations for different voice coil and Ω load setups.
