Hi guys

My Fit wheels aren't fitting.

Please help!!! What do I need to do to fit the rear wheels on the hub correctly and have them clear the control arms.

I bought a set of OEM Honda Fit wheels for my 1998 Civic HB (they look awesome) but the rears don't fit. They are rubbing up against the control arm and the hub doesn't seem to fit the wheel. This was causing the rear drum brakes to seize up. The fronts don't rub as the hub is different but the off set isn't correct.

Really? A old guy at work put them on his sons 00 coupe and had no problems at all.

Was the 00 coupe an Si? If so those have rear disc brakes.

I think a spacer would solve the issue with the control arm but the hub is just slightly too large to fit the back part of the rim. I guess I could have the rims machined but there's got to be another way.

How do I accommodate a +55 offset?

The fit wheels have a +55 offset.
Hi Drave

Your right, but is the best way to accommodate this; can I simply use some H&R wheel spacers? Or am I SOL:?:

Love your pic...I used to have a 2000 ITR

Spacers might help. If they're cheap enough, could be worth it. I don't think I've ever seen fit wheels of anything but a Del Sol.

Has returned ;-)

+55mm offset :shock:yeah no wonder they rub. spacers should solve your problem. probably need like a 5mm, but be careful you dont run out of stud

shoulda looked into the ep3 hfp wheels. handaaccessories.com still has them on sale

The wheel weights aren't the problem, I have rear drums on my DX hatchback

I'm going to try some 5mm H&R wheels spacers and see how they work, I'm hope that sloves the problem....crosses fingers.

+1, all that trouble just for that?
Well the set only cost $300 CDN on craigslist & the tires have about 85%. The spacers cost about $100.

This is just a commuter car...I was simply looking for a cheap option to replace my winter tires. Everthing else would have been 3x the price. I'm going to pick up an Si later this year or early next, so I don't want to spend more than I need to. The car certainly needs a drop but I'm going to sell it soon so whats the point.
