hey guys,
i just got my dads metallic green 99 civic sedan LX as a hand-me-down.

i want to make it look good im thinking of

1) Changing the color to more of a Charcoal color
2) window tints
3) rear spoiler wing, not one that is really big and outrageous just like a 2 or 3 in one
4) chrome hubcaps, only because i wouldn't have enough money to put new rims on it, but it will still hopefully look good
5) probably changing the taillights, just a better design and smoked out
6) new radio and speakers, it has the stock radio and speakers that suck, just enough to play some loud music.

if you guys can give me better ideas or any ideas that would be amazing,
thanks

1) i say keep an oem color and if you do get it painted, dont go cheap.
2) just dont go too dark... i have 5% on my back windows and to be honest... i dont really like it.
3) si spoiler if any
4) no
5) no
6) just change the speakers... or if you must... get a touchscreen?

1. Skip
2. Only if you really have cash to burn
3. NO WAY
4. Rims or keep the stock caps. NO CHROME CAPS!
5. Stock
6. Alpine iDE-X200 would be sick if you own an iPod. It's got some high end processors for a $140 head unit. Not sure what speakers are good these days.

My suggestion would be get some lowering springs. Drop it a touch and you're set. The chrome caps and spoiler are too cheesy. A good paint job is going to cost over a grand. Unless you plan on banging your gf in the backseat, no need to tint IMO.

skip the color (quite expensive IMO) just work on what u have. u could probably start with basic modification like new exhaust, stereo system, and maybe low it with lowering springs.

the paintjob im not going to pay for but and i got around $1000 to put into the car

the hubcaps that are on it now, are pretty messed up, so i was thinking chrome would be an upgrade.
and how is a spoiler cheesy looking?

that radio looks pretty good, ive been looking around for a radio and speakers and ill admit,
that stuff is way complicated,
cus form what i think, for speakers there is like 3 crossover (high med low) or 2 cross over and then the more watts it is the louder? right? then the radio has to match the speaker for cross over and should be lower in watts?

and lower springs, like what should i bee looking for? cus that stuff is new to me.

sorry i really dont know too much about cars but im trying to jump in as best i can
thanks again

help please

ok, i know i posted it once before but i just cant get my thoughts straight.

its a 99 4d civic LX

now, im not much of a fan of the green color but i think it would be to expensive to change it
i just want it to look more sporty. probably not lowering it or a body kit since its my everyday car and i would mess it up somehow haha,

im thinking of a spoiler for sure
new rims (probably black ones)
window tints probably around 40-50%

please give me some ideas and help, ill listen to everything and anything. Any input will help

I don't know if a spoiler is entirely necessary but it might look good. Definitely some new wheels and tint would look nice. Lowering it wouldn't destroy your ability to daily drive it at all but that's up to you. I'd look into some fog lights and an SI grille, front/rear lip and paint the side skirts.

what do you mean paint the side skirts? cus they are like a plastic black,
hmm foglights and si grille sounds good to me ill look into some prices

wouldn't lowering it make it more of a pain to go over bumps or entering an incline like a driveway. cus you have to come on at like an angle and yeah... haha

i was messin around on photo shop a little bit to maby to just give me more of an idea on what it would look like and i came up with this

Don't think they're gonna allow you to tint your windshield.

What I meant about the side skirts is painting them to match the rest of your car. It looks a lot better IMO. As for the foglights, I would check out http://www.handa-accessories.com/ for OEM, or you can get knock off ones on eBay. I don't know where to look for rims online, depending on where you are, I think craigslist has good deals from time to time. I'd look in to some other honda wheels, like wheels from the integra gsr (blades) integra ls (mesh) or maybe some SI wheels. Again, lowering the car doesn't affect the drivability as much as you would think, and if you get lowering springs as opposed to full coilovers, it's not too expensive either.
