and custom fab a new rear end? why? I've got two brand new genuine outer quarter panels coming to me from honda tomorrow - it will be completely OEM again, which is exactly what I want.
Leave it as is, consider it weight reduction 
you're still gonna have the rust on the inner sheetmetal...
whatcha plannin on doin with that?
The affected sections on the inner quarters will be removed and plated. dont worry 
Yeah, the money I'm spending would have paid for a full B20 VTEC conversion, but I would much rather have a solid shell than a 200bhp monster....well maybe...

You should cover up your dash+engine bay to keep the dust from sanding off..
