nice I am in a decision between a wide like the tokina 12-24 f4 or the 70-200 2.8 haha... also those are battling against a big bore, bigger carb and cams for my drz400sm

I was making the same decision. Wide vs. Tele. I am going to China next month, and I think the Wide will be more useful.

Oh, and I would take a good look at the Canon 10-22. On paper, it would be L glass if it were faster and not EF-S. I am happy.

the 12-24 gets awesome reviews as well but i think its a little cheaper but still great quality. i know for a fact wides wont be used often so i dont need to waste money on them. i have my 24-70 which will always be my main piece of glass and the 70-200 will be for sports/portraits/street and anything else i want reach for.

Don't be so sure. 22mm is very "normal" on a 1.6x body and the wide angles are really addictive. I think I am going to be using mine more than expected. But I know I will be pissed that I don't have a Tele lens.

24 is wide enough for right not but 70 is not long enough. thats how i am looking at it.

Yeah, there's an option to turn that off in your cp. Sucks the biggest resize is like 750x750...
