Speaking of Camaro's, saw something that caught my eye today...
Better shots tomorrow, went by the dealer after work to get some but owner had already taken it home.
I didn't have much luck. I could make an excuse but in all honesty I didn't plan ahead well enough. After a couple laps it was all a big dust bowl. Next time I'm going to get on the infield of the track, hopefully that will help.
I actually never come in this thread thinking 'i'm going to post a photo', mostly because all my photos pale in comparison to you guys, but I was just dicking around with some macro stuff the other day, and my adidas gym bag was right there. hence.

I would have to say iffy = shooting dark car in the shade with lit up background, throws it off imo.

shot a kentucky derby party using the 5dmk2.....hooked. 
although, i think just the 5dkm2 + 24-105 weighs just about as much as my d50+sb600+18-55+28-80+70-300

yeah dark cars in the shade with lit up BG is one thing. Another, for me, would be how the car is in the center of the pic vertically, and maybe zoomed out a bit too much.
I can understand the shade thing now, but I like the fact the car doesn't take up the whole picture. I'm usually not a fan of the car being the entire picture.
i dont mean a tight crop, but the further out you are the more people tend to look at the surroundings more than the subject, especially when its darker than the rest of the pic. just gotta find the median.
the harsh lighting creating tons of unwanted reflections is my biggest concern. I do the best with reflections at a little before sunset and overcast times. The compositions are both great in my opinion.C&C? Something is iffy
