yeah dark cars in the shade with lit up BG is one thing. Another, for me, would be how the car is in the center of the pic vertically, and maybe zoomed out a bit too much.
i dont mean a tight crop, but the further out you are the more people tend to look at the surroundings more than the subject, especially when its darker than the rest of the pic. just gotta find the median.I can understand the shade thing now, but I like the fact the car doesn't take up the whole picture. I'm usually not a fan of the car being the entire picture.
the harsh lighting creating tons of unwanted reflections is my biggest concern. I do the best with reflections at a little before sunset and overcast times. The compositions are both great in my opinion.
