hey i'm in need of some advice i drive a 95 coupe and even though it is tuned it is my everyday driver. what would be the best height to drop it i was thinking about 1.0 in the fron and 1.2 in the back or something like that cuz my campus got some major speed bumps but i do need to lower the car. would it be better to go with lowering springs or coilovers?

coilovers will allow you to lower it as low as you want.. with springs you are going to have a non adjustable height that you will be stuck with and could be bouncy... lowering springs are cheaper and some people prefer them over coil's...

Yea, if you buy springs your going to need to upgrade your struts..

skunk 2 springs and skunk 2 shocks

skunk 2 springs and KYB AGX shocks

Tein springs and AGX

Koni/GC combo is good and have heard alot of positive things about that setup..

just a idea of some setups and some brands for you to search for...

Tein S-Techs will do 1.9F 1.8R once they're settled. Not bouncy at all on stock shocks, I would recommend them. If you want a full coil system, Koni/GC combo is good but expensive, and you also have to know what's up when ordering custom rates. I wouldn't get shelf rates. Not many shocks are nicer then the Konis though. Or you could get a full body coilover so you maintain shock travel while going lower.

A 1" drop isn't even going to be noticeable. You can do a 3" drop and still clear these petty speed bumps you talk about. Real talk.

For starters if you lower your car more than 1.75" you might as well rice it out cause its not helping you at all. When you lower your car you should get camber kits. And if you dont have low pro tires you might want to go that route or your car will look ugly as sh*t. Your better off doing a mild drop like the eibach sportline or tein s the dump your money into camber kits sway bars bushing kit. Do it smart its all about performance not looks.
