turbo ls ???

i was just wondering what some peoples set ups are. Im thinking having a forged bottom end with a ported head and a little bit of other work and a turbo. My goals are about 275-300whp. Itll be going into a 88 hatchback if that helps at all.

from what i understand the ls motor is great for boosting, but search honda tech and this site for more info on boost setups, i think the stock block can go up to about 225-250 hp on stock rods? once again i could be mistaken.

That seems about right for a stock LS..

OP, what turbo do you plan on using?

not entirely sure yet but something that boosts quick prolly a t28 or a gt28 but i was interested in som peoples numbers and the turbos they were using

stock? idk...the rods are thicker on an LS but not by thattt much...

its really close to that though, ive searched honda tech and saw plenty of stock blocks up to 260-280. think the ls will be the next engine for me when the z6 goes bad...

ya ive read a lot of builds with stock ls motors hitting 300-330whp...

but honestly you man as well stick with around 280whp...that'll be plenty anyways lol

yea 280 is very safe and plenty for any daily driven civic or tegra. and it has some actual torque...dont think the z6 has enough

i think he said in his 1st post though that hes buildling the bottom end anyways....

so s**t...man as well shoot for 350-400whp on pumpgas

but still, those motors are dirt cheap and can get up to 300 hp with a junkyard turbo kit, talk about an underdog...
