soooo tonight I went to dubuque (iowa) to see a friend, cuz her and her husband are having issues. after that was done with I was on 151 coming back into wisconsin. I got about 1/2 into the state and started to notice something in the ditch. I let off the gas a bit an noticed that it was a car. so I turn around at the next median access road and call 911. told them that there was a car in the ditch an it "looked" like it was on fire, but couldnt tell if it was or if it was coolant steaming. when I pulled up behind this car, the dude that ditched it looked at me an took off up the embankment. good sign that he was drunk and didn't wanna get caught, even though his name is plastered all over his car... after I got off the phone with the dispatcher, I got a better look at the car. yeah its f**kED!! this guy went off the road an took out a sign that says "petroleum inspection station exit 1" with his cadillac. he ended up shearing one of the up right supports clean off at the base. for those who don't know, this sign is 30 x 30 feet being held up by 2 steel I beams that are at least a foot thick (or wide, however you put it). I just think its stupid that he took off. I mean there going to get you either way, so why not face the music right off the bat. I don't know if he was hurt or not. I would guess so considering how bad the car looked. medical attention right on the spot. s**t they sent 4 county sheriffs, dickeyville fire an rescue, jamestown fire dept, kieler rescue an ems, and an amblance (cant spell) from idk where to the scene. most of them were wandering the embankment looking for this guy. 3 hours after I stopped, called and watch them do their stuff I had to give a statement to the sheriff. right before I left they were bringing a k-9 unit out to search for this guy.
