How come I can never seem to get that tone/temperature/etc
I love that retro/whatever look, and yet fail to duplicate it...every time.

i did that on in PS (lately ive been doing just about everything in lightroom)

curves > up highlights/drop the darks just SLIGHTLY in the RED / GREEN curves, and drop the highlights/up the darks just SLIGHTLY in the BLUE curve...YELLOW solid color mask, blending mode is "multiply" and dropped to like 10-15% opacity...i usually drop the saturation and bump the contrast on the image a bit, and play around with whatever else i think might help....

but that should get you going in the right direction

i actually spent time looking at it and if you look at the foot at a weird angle and unfocus your eyes you can see them.

lovee this camera and lens. only bad thing is i still can't use photoshop to edit my raws, did the edits on these pics in the supplied raw editor from canon, its a lot less flexible compared to photoshop :-s
