Hello,

I have been browsing the forums for abit since I am looking to purchase a 2000 EX civic.
I was wondering if you guys could give me some opinions on it (price, condition, questions, etc)

Here is the link to the car -- http://miami.craigslist.org/pbc/ctd/1184413239.html

I've read the anti-theft threads and will follow all advice to keep my car safe. (stock as it is..lol)
Also I plan to lower it and add some enkei rims to it probably. (thats about it..maybe.)

Let me know what you guys think, hope to join the crew.

Peace! :D

that looks like a really nice civic man; great conditions, but of course you pay for it. (7k price tag on a 19 year old car is amazing to me)

that civic looks real nice, but you really have to see it in person. log on to kbb.com and look up what the book value is. in va the suggested retail is $8000. looks like a good deal 2 me.

19 years..? I think you meant to say 9 lol!

Well.. it looks like I could be able to keep this car for a long time as long as I keep up with the
regular maintenance listed on the honda-tech forum.

I drove it and its really smooth.. (transmission wise, no pings, no knocking, no leaks)
All the electrics work.. (the sunroof is cool!) Autocheck is clean. (No accidents/liens)

Anything else I should look into? Thanks Jim, I went into kbb and it says 8k down here as well.
I don't mind paying the offered price.. (Seems like a really well taken care of car, and I'm in need
of a car pretty bad lol!) and put a deposit on the car so I can pick it up next week.

Not sure how soon I'll be modding it.. I might get an extended warranty from wynn's.
Probably just skunk2 suspension, enkei rims and front tints. (I think I want to keep the
engine stock..) But any ideas or inputs are appreciated.

What would be the first anti-theft tool or device you guys would go wth? (I.E. autolock, kill switch,
sirens, etc..) I read the whole thread but alot of times I wasn't sure which one was the most
effective?

Thanks for the help guys! :D

The DIY fuel pump kill is the cheapest fix, but depending on how much time you have, it's probably a lot simpler to just grab a pro alarm kit and pay someone to slap it on there for you.

My kill switch cost me about 7 dollars for all the parts, but took me about 12 hours to install to where the car looked the same as before.

I dont think thats the vtec motor? if u read in the craigslist description it says sohs vtec but it looks like a y7 to me, but nevertheless its an amazing find and i love white coupes they look so clean when done right.

For the mileage and how well it looks that's been maintained, that's not a bad price at all. That car will last you a long time if you keep taking care of it.
