i have a built turbo ls vtec set up. i got ahold of a friend (ams oil dealer) who can hook me up on oil.
wondering what i should run.. regular 5w30 or heavier weight race oil? also, what is best to break in my motor? i know royal purple makes a break in oil but there stuff contains MOLY which can clog up oil lines and leave deposits in my oil pan...

Get an oil that is thick. Like a 30W or something along those lines. You need something that has a lot of Zinc in it. The only thing bad about ams oil that i have found...is that it doesnt have the certification star on it. Meaning it has not been approved so they can/are putting whatever they want in their oil.

edit...also look into like a microlubricant. I know Lucas and Royal Purple have an additive that you put in when you break in motors.
